Classes
Dennis has taught at The Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass twice a year since 2023, and teaches at other glass centers too. His classes focus on implosion and on three-dimensional murrine in borosilicate glass, a technique he adapted from soft glass and pioneered in boro.

About the classes
From cane to flower
3-D murrine is a classic soft-glass technique. Dennis adapted its multi-step process to borosilicate, reworking several steps for the harder glass, which gives an even cleaner cane. In class you learn to build the cane, then to “bloom” each slice into a finished flower and encase it, with demonstrations on how to replicate real flowers.
Classes use borosilicate (hard) glass. You should know the basics of flameworking and be comfortable working at a torch on your own.
